Achilles Raged

It finally reached a point
Where it tumbled over the top
And once it got started , it was very hard to stop
After storming at the ramparts
After fighting on the beach
After wading through the bloody water
breaking on my feet

Owww weee…Who are we?

They vilified Achilles
while he raged inside his tent
when he raised objections, well the princes all got bent
Until the lord and master
Summoned lightning from the sky
Brought down his fate upon him
and made his love to die

Running from the madness
running from defeat
running from the running over
running underneath

Despite our worst intentions
fate moves in mysteries
and all we see are the shadows, that play out ironically
The intention of the heavens
Who among us can divine
Or where we’ll be tomorrow, or even if the sun will shine
